The peak body governing university sport in Australia, Australian University Sport (AUS), welcomes Sarah Richardson as its newest board member.
Currently Director of Sarah Richardson Consulting and serving on several boards, Ms Richardson brings three decades of board and executive experience in not-for-profits, the SME sector and multinationals.
AUS CEO Don Knapp is confident Ms Richardson's experience will aid in positioning AUS to experience continued growth and innovation.
"Sarah's diverse professional experience will enhance our change and innovation agenda moving forward with AUS strategy to 2020," Mr Knapp said.
Initially practicing as an accountant, Ms Richardson then spent 15+ years in senior marketing, sales and strategy roles in the FMCG sector in the United States, France and Australia before establishing her SME consultancy and embarking on a non-executive director career a decade ago.
"I'm looking forward to contributing strategic, financial and corporate governance skills, digital and fundraising nous and diversity appreciation, and to collaborating with my highly experienced colleagues," Ms Richardson said. "Australia's for-purpose sector is experiencing significant change and Im excited to be a part of building a thriving, relevant and accountable and sustainable sector."
